Our daily lives are increasingly marked by artificial identities and intelligence. Avatars, cyborgs, robots, as well as virtual and augmented reality technologies have long since become fixtures of day-to-day life. And the concept of identity has been decoupled from a physically existing body. Just recently, two AI had a dialog in which they developed a new language we could no longer understand. Human beings are becoming creators of posthuman bodies. Creators of a posthuman era. The only remaining question is how we will deal with it. Will we create posthuman bodies as superhumans? Are they our hope? How will they change our lives? Or will human beings, in their role as creators, simultaneously become humanity’s annihilators?
